INFORMATION COLLECTED
All the information that you provide to us on Registration Forms or Course Documents will be placed into our databank and/or forwarded to the authorized course provider. This information is collected under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and is required in order to process each student’s application.
PURPOSE OF INFORMATION & DOCUMENTATION
The information is necessary for registration, to measure participation and to issue certificates and/or awards following successful completion of a course.
STORAGE OF INFORMATION
Your information is archived and/or forwarded to an authorized course provider and may be used to advise you of your certificate renewal date. As part of our agreement with the Workers’ Compensation Board and other course providers we are subject to random audits to assess compliance or to verify certification and may be requested to reveal information from our databank.
Records containing personal information are routinely destroyed after 7 years.
RIGHT TO VIEW PERSONAL INFORMATION
You have the right to view your personal records that we may have on file as long as it does not infringe upon the rights of others. Questions or concerns about the collection or use of personal information, including your right to withdraw consent, and the possible consequences, may be addressed to the Agency Manager.
